The Economic Empowerment Project seeks to support and empower refugee women, especially those who are breadwinners, by providing them with the skills and knowledge that qualify them to manage their own projects and improve their quality of life. The project relies on financing small projects that aim to improve women’s living conditions, and move them from a state of need to productivity and self-reliance, with a focus on investing their energies, alleviating their suffering, and enhancing their self-confidence to overcome economic and social challenges. The project aims to revive hope among refugee women and their families by providing financial and training support, in addition to marketing the products resulting from these projects. Shams Association has financed many small projects in Turkey, Syria, and Palestine, covering various fields, and more than 600 women have benefited from this project through the implementation of 550 projects.
