Believing in the importance of education and its role in building generations, and in line with the goals of the “Sand” program, Shams Association launched the “Community Classes” project, which targets children who have been deprived of formal education due to war and displacement, or whose displacement has led to a decline in their academic level. Since 2017, the association has established educational centers in several regions inside and outside Turkey, starting in Kilis (2017 – ongoing), then in Istanbul (2021-2023), and finally in Reyhanli (2021 – ongoing). The number of beneficiaries of the project over nine years has reached about 3,500 children.
